2022 — The desk opens
Impactful Ventures is formed in Casper, Wyoming to trade closeout, surplus and overstock inventory on the secondary market — the part of the supply chain where goods are perfectly good and suddenly homeless.

Buy against a manifest that actually reconciles. Price against live resale comps instead of a seller’s story. Ship blind, so neither side of a deal learns the other. Nothing about that has changed since, because it is the part that makes the rest work.
2026 — Rebuilt around real systems
Both partners back on the desk full time, with the deal flow rebuilt on infrastructure rather than memory: a verification gate every lot passes, a catalog that shows the lanes we work, and a buyer portal where approved buyers see new lots before anyone else.

Tools and apparel joined the board this year. Two categories were considered and declined — cosmetics carry expiry and recall exposure, household chemicals carry hazmat freight — because a lane you cannot do well is worse than a lane you skip.
